Our first visitor was Kieran. We had our first home cooked meal with him. It was tricky getting the hang of the new hotplate. That magnet controller is brilliant once an understanding of the mechanism is in place.
Laura is uup this weekend and she has just spent the morning re-arranging the kitchen. It is a true gift to have an organised mind and to be able to use this in a practical way. No wonder she is such a terrific producer!
The main achievement this week has been getting the communications systems going. Ian haas been wonderful. He worked out how to connect the telephones and how to boost the tv reception. Foxtel is installed and we even have the internet. This took several days and cranky phone calls as we were told that we would have to wait a couple of weeks because they couldn't transfer our old account as we had never had ADSL in Stockton!!!! According to their information there is no ADSL in Stockton. Fair dinkum! Anyway, Lester wandered over to the switch and turned it on and - bingo - there it was. So they had connected it but not bothered to tell us. Love Telstra. I feell complete now; I am on line again...(did I really say that?)
We have been enjoying our early morning walks with Sally. We watch the sun rise and marvel at the beautiful beach front. We gaze over to the Stockton house - today it was really foggy. The house has been let to a man with two old cars!
There are still many things that need finishing on the house. It has rained all week so none of the outside painting could be completed. Still waiting on an awning and the rest of the glass to come. Just as well we didn't wait for completion to move in.
